Demystifying Skincare:
WHAT to use & HOW to use it
Unlock your best skin with Mysura’s bespoke skincare routine builder.
Effective skincare doesn’t have to be a confusing minefield of jargon and too many options, nor does it have to cost you an arm and a leg!
It’s not just what products you use, but how you use them that will help you unlock your best skin.
Mysura builds routines based on your requirements, including your budget, skincare concerns, where you shop, and how much time you can spend on your skin.
We use products that are readily available at supermarkets, pharmacies, or specialty stores – including many brands you already know.
Then we show you exactly how to use each product in a routine to maximise their effectiveness and limit potential irritation.
Our recommendations are based on our understanding of ingredients and personal experience experimenting with products, with no loyalty to specific brands or retailers. This means our routines are tailored to you, accessible, simple, and easy to follow; without bias, hard-to-believe marketing claims or confusing jargon.

Let’s bust some myths!
There's a lot of conflicting information out there about skincare, making it hard to figure out what's true and what’s not. Let's bust some of those myths, so you can take the best care of your skin with facts, not fiction!
What are the steps in a routine?
Mysura has identified 12 possible skincare routine steps
BUT there’s no need to have that many (unless you really want to)!
Some steps are morning or night only and others are occasional, not daily (if you want some additional self-care!)
We’ve categorised them into 4 groups: must haves, should have, nice-to-have and self-care so you can pick and choose which ones you need, or let us do the hard work for you and build a tailored routine to your specific requirements (like budget, time, and concerns).
Don’t worry, Mysura’s bespoke skincare routine builder takes all this information into account to build a routine that’s just right for you, eliminating the guesswork with detailed instructions and handy ‘how to’ videos.
And as your needs change, we change up your routine as often as you like to ensure you’re always working towards your goals in a way that fits into your daily life seamlessly, without overwhelm or confusion – no pre-requisite knowledge required!
Did you know?
Always start with an oil cleanser on dry skin to effectively remove makeup. If you don’t have one, no worries—just use your gel cleanser dry.
After using a sheet mask, remember to apply a moisturiser to lock in those potent ingredients.
If your toner has active ingredients, it's best to skip the active serum to avoid irritation.
You can use a moisturiser instead of an eye cream if needed but be aware that it might not be ideal and it could affect how your concealer looks during the day.
Apply sunscreen first, then let it dry before adding primer and makeup.
Night creams are richer, so put them on 20 minutes before bedtime to keep them from transferring to your pillow. They’re also great for maintaining hydration on long flights.
When using wash-off masks, use one or mix and match! Always use (just one) cleansing or exfoliating mask first, followed by (one or more) hydrating masks.
